More images of Madelyn Albee’s work coming soon!

Madelyn is a long time resident of Wolfeboro, although she grew up in Nova Scotia and attended college in New Brunswick.  Madelyn’s interest in art has grown by attending art workshops with various instructors in New Hampshire, Vermont, Nova Scotia, Ireland, and Portugal. Travel is a main component in her work, because she claims two homes—one in Wolfeboro, where she paints scenes of the lake and local wildlife, and one in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, where she creates expressive ocean scenes.

Madelyn is an active member of the Governor Wentworth Arts Council. She has attended workshops in this group and spearheaded the annual “Paint the Town” day in Wolfeboro in 2010. This is an event where local artists setup and complete a painting outdoors. Madelyn is an expert in this Plein Air painting, and regularly creates her work on site in the elements.
